FOREWORD I wasn't going to play this round. Honestly, it was supposed to just be one little draft round and then I was done. But here I am again, writing another roundfail. I sound like a relapsing addict. It's Rio's fault really, you get off the juice and he comes into your DMs pushing promises of war and suddenly you're right back in the rollercoaster car about to drop into another round. Actually, it wasn't the promise of war that sold me. It was the promise of proving whether or not blops are actually still worth anything in this game. We are inching, with painfully small baby steps, towards fireball not being totally useless - GPC had just unveiled a very welcome and long overdue change to how mutual war affects rejuvenation, as well as a nerf to the overbearing mutual war op bonus, reducing it by 2% overall. Would it be enough to tip the balance? I wasn't sure, but at least we definitely weren't going down the route of adding friendly spells that bring...

FOREWORD I had high hopes for returning for the draft round. It tempted me back, like a tempting temptress. And as you can tell from that simile, my roundfail writing hasn't suffered at all from the break. But I couldn't very well come back without at least trying to see if my old pal and fellow blopper AgFx could also be tempted by the lure of the draft. It was like bringing an old army vet out of retirement. AgFx was - metaphorically you understand - sitting by the pier in the late Netherlandian afternoon, fishing line cast, beer in hand, serenely enjoying the peace and quiet when all of a sudden, I'm ploughing through on a jetski, flames painted on the side, making an offer he absolutely can refuse.
